Home of Good Hope, Katutura, Namibia |
Time was running, and my time with Monica and the kids was gone. And with it also the trip.
5
and half months I was on the road. Many people helped to make my trip
work out well. Many old friends from 2009 I met again, for sure, I won
new friends, I have seen many great landscapes and I have
experienced exciting moments with the wild animals.
Africa and
his people - this is a love hard to explain to someone, who has never
been there. I will always remember the eyes of Abdou Rabou, my old
friend from Wawa, Sudan. When he started to realize, that I am the same
Andy, who stayed in his house already 2003...

Linda and Tom, Awassa, Ethiopia |
Bisrat from Ethiopia,
who has helped me in a great way. Linda and Tom, who showed me, that
Ethiopians and Eritreans must not necessarily have a problem with each
other.

Yusuf, Mombasa, Kenya |
My Kenyan friends - my good old friend Yusuf, who helped me
out more than just once. Nafisa, his sister, who is like my own sister,
his brother Hassan and Munira. Rose and Albert from Tanzania, who opened
door and heart to me. Benson, who can hopefully realize his campsite
dreams.

And of course Monica from
Namibia. And the children there.
Father Caesar
said: when you come the first time, you come as a guest. The second
time you come as a friend. In Namibia, this was continued by Bongie -
when you come a third time, you come as part of the family!

Well,
my friends in Africa - I will come again, this is for sure. And for
quite a few of them, I already feel like part of the family!
Now,
I have to exercise in Germany what I learned in Africa. To adapt to new
things again and again. There are also new things in Germany - at least
for me after nearly 6 months on the road...
For sure, there is
also some work, which needs to be done, for example to work on the new
photos (a total of 12.722), this time also some videos. New
presentations need to be done. And I have to look for a job.
But well, not everything at the same time. Let’s do it the African way....

Oh - with this trip, I fulfilled a dream. Dreams have one in common -
when one is fulfilled, many new ones pop out! I already have new dreams
like sand in the African desert, like stars in the sky of Africa!
